San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon is a candidate for the Portland Trail Blazers' and Orlando Magic's head coaching vacancy, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

South Carolina bench boss Dawn Staley, Los Angeles Clippers assistant Chauncey Billups, two-time NBA Coach of the Year Mike D'Antoni, and Spurs vice president of basketball operations Brent Barry are reportedly also in the running for the Blazers' opening.

Portland and Orlando recently parted ways with Terry Stotts and Steve Clifford, respectively.

Hammon has spent the past seven years on Gregg Popovich's staff. The six-time WNBA All-Star became the second female coach in NBA history when San Antonio hired her in August 2014.

She was also the first female to serve as head coach in an NBA game after Popovich was ejected from a contest last December.
