Streaker hid in stadium for 14 hours before Granada vs. United match
A man who ran onto the pitch during the Europa League quarterfinal first leg between Granada and Manchester United on Thursday snuck inside Los Carmenes stadium 14 hours before kickoff.
The streaker, 37-year-old Olmo Garcia, evaded security by hiding under a canvas in the stadium, according to Reuters. Garcia has been given the nickname "The Naked Man of Granada" by local media and can often be seen walking around public areas in the Andalusian city in the nude.
"The man made it into the stadium at 7 a.m. after getting through the security perimeter located between the stadium and the Palacio de Deportes building, where it is clear he spent the next 14 hours hidden under the canvas in order to not be seen until he decided to make his move," police said.
Garcia interrupted the match in the 10th minute and rolled around on the pitch before being escorted away by police.
