Sack taps appear to be contagious in the NHL playoffs this year.
Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry took exception to a bump from behind by Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn in the first period of Game 2 on Friday and let Benn know with a poke to the nether region:
Perry was assessed a minor penalty for slashing and Alex Chiasson scored for the Stars on the ensuing advantage.
Dallas remained upset with Perry after the penalty, leading to a roughing call on Stars defenseman Trevor Daley later in the period when Daley wrestled Perry to the ice and punched him repeatedly.
Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf scored on the power play to knot the score at 1-1.
