Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is attracting "minimal" trade interest as the club prepares to open training camp Thursday, TSN's Darren Dreger reports.
It's unclear if the three-time Vezina Trophy winner will report to camp, but the Jets are expected to address the situation regardless of whether Hellebuyck is present, Dreger adds.
Hellebuyck requested a trade after the conclusion of the regular season and then went public with it in late August. He's under contract through 2030-31 at an $8.5-million cap hit and has a full no-movement clause.
The Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes are among the teams that expressed interest in acquiring Hellebuyck earlier this summer, but the Jets don't currently have any offers that they deem to be fair, per Dreger.
Hellebuyck, who has spent his entire 11-season NHL career in Winnipeg, posted an .895 save percentage in 57 games last season as the Jets regressed from Presidents' Trophy winners to missing the playoffs.
Although Hellebuyck struggled with the Jets, he starred for Team USA at the Olympics in February, backstopping his country to a gold medal.
The 33-year-old is one of the most accomplished netminders of his generation, having racked up four All-Star nods, an MVP, and a career save percentage of .916.
