The Utah Mammoth signed forward Anders Lee to a three-year contract with a $5.4-million average annual value, the team announced Wednesday.
Lee had been captain of the New York Islanders since 2018. He tallied 19 goals and 42 points in 82 games last season. Lee had notched 20 or more goals each of the prior four campaigns.
The 35-year-old has spent his entire 14-season career with the Islanders. He's racked up 308 goals and 549 points in 923 contests.
"Anders is one of the most respected leaders in the NHL, and we are very proud that he chose Utah," Mammoth general manager Bill Armstrong said in a statement. "He's one of the best netfront players in the game and one of the most durable guys in the league. He will be a great fit on the ice for our young players and an even better role model off the ice as a past King Clancy Memorial Trophy winner."
The Mammoth also acquired forward Vincent Trocheck on Wednesday.
