Nashville Predators goaltender Justus Annunen made 22 saves for the shutout.
Finland now has five titles all-time, and it's their first since 2022.
It's Switzerland's third consecutive loss in the gold-medal game, losing to Czechia in 2024 and the United States in 2025. Switzerland - which hosted this year's tournament in Zurich and Fribourg - was undefeated entering the final with a 48-8 goal difference. The Swiss have never won the World Championship.
Switzerland and Predators defenseman Roman Josi was named MVP and Best Defender. Norway's Henrik Haukeland earned Best Goaltender, while Canada and San Jose Sharks phenom Macklin Celebrini took Best Forward.
Norway shocked Canada 3-2 in overtime in the bronze-medal game for the nation's first-ever medal at the Worlds.
