The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Hendrix Lapierre from the Washington Capitals for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick, the teams announced Thursday.
Lapierre tallied four goals and 16 points in 74 games last season, his first full campaign in the NHL.
The 24-year-old is a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.
Lapierre has 13 goals and 47 points in 158 games over parts of four NHL seasons. He also won two Calder Cups in the AHL with the Hershey Bears.
The Capitals drafted the Quebec native 22nd overall in 2020.
