Report: Canadiens, Wild, Stars among teams interested in Sherwood
The Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota Wild, and Dallas Stars are among the long list of teams who have kicked tires on Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood, reports TSN's Pierre LeBrun.
The Canucks, who enter Tuesday 30th in the NHL standings, are reportedly willing to listen to trade offers for their veteran players in an attempt to get younger.
Sherwood, 30, is in the final year of his contract with a $1.5-million cap hit.
The 6-foot, 194-pound winger leads the Canucks with 12 goals in 26 games this season and ranks second among all NHL skaters with 106 hits. He's coming off a breakout year in 2024-25 in which he set career highs with 19 goals, 21 assists, and led the league with a staggering 462 hits.
The Canucks would be seeking at least a second-round pick in return for Sherwood if they decide to move him, reports The Athletic's Thomas Drance.
