Senators sign Greig to 4-year, $13M extension
The Ottawa Senators signed forward Ridly Greig to a four-year contract extension carrying an average annual value of $3.25 million, the team announced Friday.
Greig is playing out the last year of his entry-level deal. He'll be a restricted free agent after the extension ends and won't become unrestricted until 2030.
The 22-year-old has recorded six goals and six assists in 37 games this season. He's spent most of this year on the wing, though he's a natural center and has also played down the middle throughout his three-year career.
Ridly Greig, signed to a 4x$3.25M extension by OTT, is a developing third liner who works hard and plays with an edge that helps him push play in the right direction. Greig notched 13 goals and 13 assists in his first full campaign in 2023-24.
The Senators selected Greig 28th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Greig was Ottawa's most notable pending RFA, along with Tyler Kleven, Jacob Bernard-Docker, and Noah Gregor. Claude Giroux is the team's biggest pending UFA.
