Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter ruled out quarterback Lamar Jackson ahead of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The two-time MVP didn't participate in practice this week after sustaining an ankle injury in the first half of last week's win over the Tennessee Titans. Jackson could reportedly miss multiple games, depending on how his rehab goes.

Minter said Friday that it's too early to determine Jackson's status for the Ravens' Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec.

Tyler Huntley will start at quarterback in Jackson's absence, Zrebiec adds.

Baltimore has posted a 3-1 record with Jackson under center this season. The 29-year-old has completed a career-best 70.8% of his passes for 967 yards and six touchdowns.

On Thursday, offensive coordinator Declan Doyle spoke about the positivity that Huntley brings to the team, and he's confident that the 28-year-old can operate his system.

"I don't think the mentality of how you want to run the offense changes at all," Doyle said, according to team reporter Clifton Brown. "You're trying to hunt explosives. The standard is still the standard regardless of who's in there, and that can't change."

Despite his belief in both signal-callers, Doyle prepared a separate game plan for each quarterback as Jackson's status faced uncertainty.

"You have to go down this avenue like, 'OK, if Snoop's going, this is the way I want to call it. If L's going ... if he's banged up, I may not want to do certain things with him,'" Doyle said.

The Ravens will also be without pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson, who missed last week's contest with a finger injury.
