Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is considered week-to-week after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Barkley's injury reportedly isn't expected to be a long-term issue.

The star rusher suffered the injury early in Sunday's game and hobbled off the field before being ruled out.

The Eagles' running back room took a major hit against the Rams. In addition to Barkley, backup rusher Tank Bigsby will have core muscle surgery and miss up to six weeks, according to Rapoport. Bigsby handled most of the workload after Barkley's injury and was hurt late in the game.

Injuries to Philadelphia's top two backs leave Will Shipley as the backfield's top option. With 182 yards on 59 carries, Shipley has averaged 3.1 yards per attempt over his career.

Through four games, Barkley has 182 rushing yards on 36 carries and four catches for eight yards.

The Eagles have lost two straight contests after starting the season 2-0. They play the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 5.
