Green Bay Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Sunday's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
An MRI on Monday apparently confirmed the result, which is expected to end Cooper's season.
Head coach Matt LaFleur described Cooper's injury outlook as "not good" postgame, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
Isaiah McDuffie replaced Cooper after he exited Sunday's matchup. McDuffie was briefly replaced by Ty'Ron Hopper after getting poked in the eye and losing a contact.
Cooper, who leads the Packers in sacks, went down without contact in the third quarter. He was unable to put weight on his leg and was ruled out shortly after being carted off the field.
A second-round pick in 2024, Cooper will finish his 2026 campaign with 30 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, and one interception.
