Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley won't return to Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams after suffering a hamstring injury during the team's second offensive drive.

Barkley began limping after a six-yard run and then hobbled to the sideline. He spent time in the medical tent before going into the locker room.

Barkley's latest ailment marks the second game this year in which he's left early with an injury. He exited during the first quarter of Philadelphia's Week 2 victory over the Tennessee Titans due to a stinger.

Tank Bigsby replaced Barkley after his departure Sunday. Will Shipley, who's received nine carries this season, is also active.

Barkley has rushed for 174 yards on 34 carries this season, though he has yet to score a touchdown.
