Sean Payton is interested in reuniting with Taysom Hill.
The Denver Broncos head coach said Saturday that the team will consider bringing in the veteran free agent, according to NFL Network's Steve Wyche and Cynthia Frelund.
Payton coached Hill from 2017-21 when they were members of the New Orleans Saints. After signing with the club as an undrafted free agent, Hill found his identity as a jack-of-all-trades player, serving as a quarterback, ball carrier, and pass-catcher while also playing on special teams.
Hill's role developed further once Payton left New Orleans after the 2021 campaign; he recorded 652 yards from scrimmage in 2022 and a career-high 692 yards from scrimmage the following season.
The 35-year-old, who's spent his entire nine-year career with the Saints, signaled that he wouldn't be returning to the franchise with a farewell social media post Wednesday.
Hill owns 2,551 rushing yards, 1,034 receiving yards, and 45 total touchdowns over his career. He's also thrown for 2,426 passing yards with 12 scores to nine interceptions.
