Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has denied that he revealed his preference for who he wants to start at quarterback for Cleveland in a viral video on social media.
Jeudy threw up four fingers in a live video after a user asked who he wants the starting quarterback to be. Deshaun Watson wears No. 4, leading many to think Jeudy picked the veteran passer over second-year pro Shedeur Sanders, who's also competing for the job.

Jeudy cleared the air on X later, saying that the clip was cut "perfectly for that narrative."
I don’t speak on decisions that aren’t mine to make. I support my teammates/Brothers, I do my job, and control what I can control. Let’s stop creating narrative that aren’t there for likes and clicks. I bet this won’t go viral because it’s too positive/real for y’all 💯.

Watson has been sidelined since October 2024 due to a pair of Achilles injuries. The 30-year-old is entering the final season of a five-year, $230-million contract, though he's not lived up to his billing.
He's played only 19 games since coming to Cleveland in 2022, going 9-10 with 19 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. Meanwhile, Sanders went 3-4 as a rookie, throwing seven touchdowns to 10 picks.
