The Miami Dolphins and Pro Bowl running back De'Von Achane agreed to a four-year extension worth $64 million, a source told ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.
Incentives could increase Achane's annual earnings to $17 million, bringing the deal's maximum value to $68 million, Louis-Jacques adds.
Achane's reported average annual salary makes him the third-highest-paid running back in the NFL, per Over the Cap.
The 24-year-old was reportedly garnering trade interest earlier this offseason, though Miami told teams that he wasn't available.
Achane was entering the final year of his rookie deal before inking his new contract.
A third-round pick in 2023, Achane burst onto the scene and made a name as one of the league's premier speedsters. He set new career highs in rushing yards (1,350) and yards from scrimmage (1,838) last season, earning his first Pro Bowl invite.
