The Philadelphia Eagles traded safety Sydney Brown to the Atlanta Falcons, the teams announced Friday.

The Falcons will receive Brown along with the Nos. 122 and 215 overall picks in the 2026 NFL Draft in exchange for the Nos. 114 and 197 selections.

Brown spent three seasons with Philadelphia but struggled to carve out a consistent role. The 25-year-old recorded nine passes defended, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions and started nine of 42 games with the NFC East club.

In Atlanta, Brown will get an opportunity to compete for a role in a safety group headlined by Jessie Bates III.

Trading Brown before June 1 saves the Eagles $1.5 million, according to Over the Cap.

General manager Howie Roseman wasted little time filling out the Eagles' safety depth chart after moving on from Brown. Philadelphia signed Marcus Epps and J.T. Gray to one-year contracts, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Epps returns after starting four games in 2025 with the reigning NFC East champs. The veterans join roster holdovers Andrew Mukuba, Brandon Johnson, and Andre' Sam.
