Report: 49ers to sign Kirk to 1-year, $6M deal
The San Francisco 49ers are signing wide receiver Christian Kirk to a one-year, $6-million deal, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Kirk spent the 2025 campaign with the Houston Texans, who acquired him from the Jaguars last March for a late-round pick swap. He played three seasons in Jacksonville after a four-year run with the Arizona Cardinals.
The 29-year-old appeared in 13 regular-season games last year, tallying 28 receptions for 239 yards and a touchdown while playing just over 48% of the Texans' offensive snaps.
Kirk's best game of the season came in the wild-card round, when he totaled eight receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown in a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Kirk is the latest wideout to sign with the 49ers after veteran Mike Evans agreed to a three-year contract with the team during the first week of free agency. Kirk and Evans are set to join a wide receiver room that includes Ricky Pearsall, Demarcus Robinson, and Jacob Cowing. Brandon Aiyuk, whom San Francisco signed to a four-year deal last offseason, is expected to be released after he failed to fulfill his contractual obligations.
