Wilkinson rips Falcons after joining Cards: 'Good luck with that clown show'
Ex-Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson sounded off on his former team in now-deleted comments on Instagram after signing a two-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals last week
"Good luck with that clown show over there," Wilkinson said when responding to a fan's criticism, according to Miles Garrett on X.
Wilkinson said in another comment, "Lol, y'all in hell (right now) have fun being ass next (year)."
The 31-year-old spent the last two seasons in Atlanta, and was also with the team in 2022 before a stop with the Cardinals in 2023. Wilkinson started all 17 regular-season games last year at right tackle after Kaleb McGary suffered a season-ending knee injury in August.
Wilkinson's 46 pressures and six sacks allowed in 627 pass-blocking snaps were both the most surrendered among all Falcons offensive linemen in 2025, according to PFF. He's suited up in 96 career games since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
The UMass product also criticized some of his former teammates in a leaked direct message to a fan.
"Hahaha yeah alright, and all the passes (Darnell) Mooney dropped and (Kyle) Pitts f--k off my line," Wilkinson said. "Have fun rooting to lose the NFC South. 28-3. 28-3 ... Haahahahahhahha laughing stock."
Atlanta finished last season 8-9, marking the eighth straight year it failed to make the playoffs. They will enter the 2026 season under new head coach Kevin Stefanski after owner Arthur Blank cleaned house by firing Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot.
