The Detroit Lions are expected to sign cornerback D.J. Reed to a three-year, $48-million deal that includes $32 million guaranteed, sources told Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports.
Reed has tallied six interceptions, 51 pass deflections, and four forced fumbles in 101 career games. He posted 11 deflections, a sack, and four tackles for loss in 14 games.
The 28-year-old allowed 35 receptions for 431 yards and two touchdowns during the 2024 campaign, according to PFF.
Reed has spent the last three seasons with the New York Jets after two campaigns each with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
Reed is slated to replace Carlton Davis, who's reportedly signing a three-year, $60-million deal with the New England Patriots.
