Report: Raiders releasing Minshew
The Las Vegas Raiders will release quarterback Gardner Minshew when the new league year opens, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Minshew signed a two-year, $25-million deal with the Raiders last offseason. His release will free up $6.3 million in cap space, according to Over the Cap.
The 28-year-old started nine games during the 2024 campaign and completed 66.3% of his attempts for 2,013 yards, nine touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Las Vegas went 2-7 in those starts.
The Raiders could select a quarterback early in the 2025 draft. The team currently holds the sixth overall pick.
Minshew has appeared in 59 games (46 starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Raiders since being selected in the sixth round of the 2019 draft. He's thrown for 11,950 yards, 68 touchdowns, and 34 picks.
