The New York Jets granted wide receiver Allen Lazard permission to seek a trade, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Jets are still open to keeping the veteran, Schefter adds.
Lazard signed a four-year, $44-million deal with the Jets in 2023, right before the team signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The pair played together for five seasons with the Green Bay Packers alongside wide receiver Davante Adams.
New York released Rodgers in February. The Jets released Adams on Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Lazard was on the trade block for the Jets last season and finished the campaign with six touchdowns and 530 receiving yards over 12 games. He posted 311 receiving yards and one touchdown in 14 games the season prior.
