The Arizona Cardinals have extended center Hjalte Froholdt to a two-year deal that keeps him under contract through the 2026 season, the team announced Wednesday.

It's a $12-million contract that also contains $8 million guaranteed, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 28-year-old enjoyed his finest season in 2023 - his first with the Cardinals - as he started all 17 games for the first time in his career. Froholdt was graded as the 19th overall center last season, per PFF.

A native of Denmark, Froholdt spent time with three other teams before finding his footing with the Cardinals. He was drafted in the fourth round in 2019 by the New England Patriots but was released midway through the 2020 campaign. He also had stints with the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns before Arizona signed him in 2023.
