Burrow: Wrist 'absolutely not' affecting throws
Joe Burrow tried to calm all concerns that his surgically repaired wrist is still causing him issues.
Broadcast footage from the Cincinnati Bengals' Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots caught Burrow flexing his wrist. One moment in particular went viral in which the quarterback picked up a water bottle in an unusual way.
Burrow laughed off the incident and said his wrist is "absolutely not" affecting his throws, according to ESPN's Ben Baby.
"(No), what did I do?," Burrow said Wednesday when asked about the water bottle clip. "I picked it up weird? I don't know. I drank water. Can't say I've seen that or know what anybody's talking about."

Burrow's 2023 season was limited to 10 games after a torn ligament in his wrist ended his campaign. Worries about Burrow's health were amplified after the signal-caller averaged only 5.7 yards per attempt in Cincinnati's 16-10 loss to New England in Week 1.
Burrow explained that the constant flexing of his wrist is part of the process of recovering from injuries of that nature.
"That's part of ligament injuries," Burrow said, per Baby. "If you don't move it, you're going to lose it, so I'm always moving it around, keeping it loose, keeping my mobility the way it's supposed to be, so it's going to continue to happen."
The Bengals take on the Kansas City Chiefs on the road in Week 2.
