The Dallas Cowboys are re-signing pass-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. to a one-year deal, sources tell theScore's NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Fowler spent last season with the Cowboys and suited up in all 17 regular-season games, racking up six sacks and seven tackles for loss.

The 28-year-old was the third overall pick in the 2015 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was traded to the Los Angeles Rams midway through the 2018 season.

He set a career high in sacks (11.5) with the Rams in 2019 before landing with the Atlanta Falcons in March 2020.

The Florida product tied for third on the Cowboys in sacks last season and helped lead one of the best pass-rushing units in the NFL with Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence.

Fowler has 41 sacks in 108 career games.
