Things got heated between the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore and Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans were ejected from the game after a fight broke out among players from both teams.

Evans pushed Lattimore after the defensive back and Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady exchanged words following an incomplete pass on third down.

"Super competitive. Today, he was just too emotional," Evans said of Lattimore postgame, according to ESPN's Jeff Darlington. "You don't throw punches at guys on the field. He threw a punch at (Leonard Fournette), and I can't let that happen to my teammates. So I shoved him."

The incident occurred with the contest tied 3-3. Brady also expressed frustration over his team's performance earlier in the game, spiking a tablet on the sideline.

This isn't the first time Evans and Lattimore have been involved in an altercation, as the receiver also started a fight with the cornerback in 2017. No one was ejected, but Evans received a one-game suspension for his hit.

"We're in New Orleans. It gets spicy sometimes," Evans added. "Got a little heated in the scuffle. I'm glad nobody got hurt and glad our team responded after it."

Brady tossed a 28-yard touchdown to Breshad Perriman minutes after the fight, helping Tampa Bay clinch a 20-10 victory Sunday. The legendary passer finished the day with 190 yards and one TD on 18-of-34 passing.

Evans caught three passes for 61 yards, while Lattimore amassed two tackles and one pass breakup before being ejected.
