49ers' Lynch says he 'accidentally' liked anti-Garoppolo tweet
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch got himself into some trouble while he was at church.
On Christmas Eve, fans noticed that Lynch had liked a tweet suggesting the 49ers should leave quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in Nashville:

Lynch subsequently unliked the tweet and said it had been unintentional:
Apparently - while in Christmas Eve Mass w my Family - I accidentally and unknowingly Liked a Tweet. Never intended to and remain a huge believer in Jimmy. Merry Christmas to everyone.

The 49ers lost 20-17 to the Titans on Thursday night in Tennessee, with Garoppolo throwing a pair of costly interceptions. The Niners traded up in the 2021 draft to select his eventual successor, Trey Lance, who's started one game this season.
Lynch expressed support for Garoppolo earlier this week.
"He's running our system exactly how we want," Lynch told KBNR on Tuesday, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Dalton Johnson. "The thing I love about Jimmy, he doesn't care if we run it 40 times, throw it 40 times - just wants to win."
Garoppolo's thrown for 3,494 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions this season while completing 68% of his passes. San Francisco (8-7) currently holds the 6-seed in the NFC and is set to face the Houston Texans next on Jan. 2.
