The team signed five players to 10-day deals using hardship exemptions: veteran <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/102412" href="https://www.thescore.com/nba/players/102412">Lance Stephenson</a>, G League forward <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/96123" href="https://www.thescore.com/nba/players/96123">Malcolm Hill</a>, G League guards Malik Ellison, and Cat Barber, and Iwundu, who entered the protocols after playing one game.</p><p>If Young is required to serve the entire 10-day period in the protocols, he won't be eligible to return until Dec. 29 against the Chicago Bulls. Vaccinated players can return earlier if they produce consecutive negative COVID-19 test results taken at least 24 hours apart.</p><p>Young is averaging 27.3 points and 9.3 assists per game across 29 appearances for Atlanta.</p><p>The Hawks are scheduled to face the Knicks at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.</p>

<p><a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///ncaaf/teams/464" href="https://www.thescore.com/ncaaf/teams/464">New Mexico</a> head coach Bob Davie is "doing well and recovering" after he was hospitalized following Saturday's game, his family <a href="https://twitter.com/UNMLoboFB/status/1168023006528098304">announced</a>.</p><p>Immediately after the Lobos defeated Sam Houston State 39-31 in their season opener, the 64-year-old was taken to an Albuquerque hospital due to a "serious medical incident," New Mexico athletic director Eddie Nunez said in a <a href="https://twitter.com/UNMLoboFB/status/1168016622864470016">statement</a>.</p><p>A university official told reporters that Davie had been experiencing chest pains, according to <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2019/08/31/bob-davie-hospitalized-medical-incident-after-new-mexico-win/2184996001/">USA TODAY Sports' Paul Myerberg</a>.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"Coach Davie is doing well and recovering. He is surrounded by family and your continued thoughts, prayers, and privacy are greatly appreciated during this time," his family's statement said.</p><p>Davie has coached the Lobos since 2012. He was the head coach of Notre Dame from 1997-2001 and compiled a 35-25 record. After the school fired him, Davie spent 10 years as an ESPN broadcaster.</p><p>New Mexico's next game is Sept. 14 against No. 9 Notre Dame.</p>
