Bengals place Mixon on IR with foot injury
The Cincinnati Bengals will remain without their main running back for at least three more games.
Cincinnati placed Joe Mixon on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.
Mixon missed the last three games due to a foot injury and was already ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Washington Football Team.
Thanks for all the wishes & prayers! I appreciate y’all and will be back better than ever🙏🏽💯

The 24-year-old led the Bengals in rushing in each of the past three seasons and was topping the NFL in touches before being sidelined in mid-October.
The 2017 second-round pick, who inked a four-year contract extension in the offseason, racked up 428 yards (3.6 per carry) and three touchdowns on the ground through six games this year. He also caught 21 passes for 138 yards and one score.
Head coach Zac Taylor declined to confirm whether Mixon will return this season, according to Ben Baby of ESPN.
Veteran runners Giovani Bernard and Samaje Perine will continue to carry the load at running back for the 2-6-1 Bengals.
