UFC CEO and Zuffa Boxing co-founder Dana White insisted he'll be part of the long-awaited heavyweight boxing fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, which is reportedly in jeopardy because of his participation.
"I'm involved in the f-----g fight," White told reporters Saturday after a Zuffa Boxing show.
White was questioned about a clause in the fight contract that states he and Zuffa Boxing are not allowed to be part of the event. The Fury-Joshua bout was officially announced Thursday and is expected to take place Dec. 11 in Cardiff, Wales, with the event broadcast on Netflix.
White said his involvement is "not up to me," though he wouldn't expand on what that means. Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh is bankrolling the fight and reportedly wants to promote it with White and Zuffa Boxing.
When asked if the Dec. 11 date is still a go, White wouldn't confirm or deny.
"That, I don't know," he said.
White also sounded off on Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who represents Anthony Joshua and has been headstrong about keeping White on the outs.
"What I've said 150,000 times - I don't know if I've ever known anybody who's more full of f-----g shit than Eddie Hearn," White said. "... This guy is full of f-----g shit, and I've been saying the same thing since way back when and here we are."
Joshua and Fury are two of the most decorated heavyweight boxers of this generation. The British fighters have unsuccessfully tried to line up a fight for several years.
