2025 NFL mock draft: Final projections from top-ranked prognosticator

Julian Catalfo / theScore

theScore's David P. Woods ranks as one of the industry's most accurate mock drafters over the last five years, according to The Huddle Report. Below, he reveals his final projections for how this year's first round will unfold.

Cam Ward, QB, Miami

It's obvious this will be the pick.

Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

It never made sense that Abdul Carter was initially favored to be selected ahead of football's version of Shohei Ohtani.

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The Giants will make the easy selection here, then turn their focus to how they can also come out of the first round with a quarterback.

Will Campbell, OL, LSU

Campbell is far from a perfect prospect, but he's a culture-building pick who can help keep Drake Maye upright.

Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

The Jags are tempted by Ashton Jeanty, but take a conventional approach and decide to fortify their defensive interior.

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

It shouldn't stun anyone if picks 5 and 6 go opposite to the order we have here.

Armand Membou, OL, Missouri

Tyler Warren as the best player available should be a consideration, but the Jets would be wise to give Justin Fields some protection.

Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

The chalkiest pick of the draft after the top four selections.

Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

The Saints could go in any direction and still find a way to fill a major need.

Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas

Reaching for a running back isn't out the question here, but the Bears instead continue fortifying an O-line they rebuilt in free agency.

Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

The Niners need to add talent to a defensive line that has fallen off in recent years.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

A dream scenario sees the draft's top wideout fall into the Cowboys' lap. T-Mac - don't call him Tet - will be an ideal complement to CeeDee Lamb.

Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

It does not appear as if Jalen Ramsey is long for Miami. Here's his replacement.

Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Is an elite tight end really what the Colts think will unlock Anthony Richardson? It's a little hard to see it, but all signs point to GM Chris Ballard targeting the position.

Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

The Falcons did extra work on Mike Green, who told reporters he was accused of sexual assault twice and denied wrongdoing.

Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

The Cardinals desperately need outside corners. Here's one.

Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon

The Bengals' interest in Harmon is no secret. If they are comfortable with his medicals, he should be the pick.

Grey Zabel, C/G, North Dakota State

Sam Darnold doesn't have a prayer if the Seahawks put him behind an O-line that isn't upgraded from the mess we saw in 2024.

Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

The Buccaneers have been called the floor for Campbell's draft stock, so they are thrilled to see him available here.

TreyVeon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

Henderson's explosiveness and three-down skill set will remind coach Sean Payton of Alvin Kamara.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

There it is. The Steelers end the fall of Deion's son - and tell Aaron Rodgers they refuse to be held hostage.

Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Jim Harbaugh gets his Michigan guy.

Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

Feels like a Packers kind of pick.

Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

A natural understudy and eventual successor to Harrison Smith.

Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama

The Texans cannot enter the season with the decimated O-line that emerged from free agency.

Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

This is a prime spot for the Rams to trade out to a team that wants to come up for someone like Jaxson Dart. And we can't fully rule out the possibility that the Rams will take Matthew Stafford's successor. But a more likely pick is on defense.

Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

The Ravens might prefer an edge rusher, but the value doesn't seem to line up here so they pivot.

Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

The Lions end the speedy Golden's surprising fall - and set themselves up for a world where the unreliable Jameson Williams is no longer on the roster.

Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

The Deebo Samuel trade doesn't mean the Commanders are done loading up around Jayden Daniels.

Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan

A perfect marriage of player, need, and value.

Josh Simmons, OL, Ohio State

The Chiefs have essentially lost two Super Bowls because of poor O-line play. They need to invest.

Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

The champs reload on the edge.
