Northwestern quarterback Aidan Chiles is expected to be sidelined for Saturday's game against Iowa with an upper-body injury, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Backup quarterback Nicco Marchiol is slated to make his first start for Northwestern, Thamel adds.

Chiles has guided the Wildcats to a 6-2 record this season with superb play, completing 68.8% of his passes for 1,898 yards, 13 touchdowns, and only one interception. He's also added 10 rushing scores.

Marchiol transferred to Northwestern earlier this year from West Virginia. He's thrown for 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions over his college career.

The Wildcats lost to Oregon last week, snapping their four-game winning streak.
