Head coach Deion Sanders confirmed that Colorado dismissed several players for conduct detrimental to the team.
While Sanders didn't disclose who was dismissed, he referenced the decision Tuesday when asked about his frustration with Colorado players laughing after Saturday's 41-7 loss to Northwestern.
Sanders said Saturday that he had to address certain players following the loss, but he clarified on Tuesday that the dismissals didn't stem from what happened after the defeat.
"It's never one (thing)," Sanders said, according to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg. "I'm one (of) the most loving and giving and forgiving men you could ever meet, but when you start (having) conduct detrimental to the team, you don't care about the team, you care about you, I have a problem with that. A year ago, I didn't put my foot down in it enough. It lingered a little bit. Then, it imploded.
"I'm not doing that anymore."
Colorado is 2-1 this season and looking to rebound from a 3-9 record in 2025.
