5-star DE JaReylan McCoy commits to Florida
Five-star defensive end JaReylan McCoy committed to Florida, he told On3's Hayes Fawcett.
McCoy previously decommitted from LSU earlier this year. The Mississippi native also received offers from Texas, Ole Miss, and Auburn.
The 6-foot-7, 260-pound standout is the second-ranked defensive end and No. 9 overall recruit on the 2026 ESPN 300.
"Florida has been recruiting me the hardest for a while," McCoy told On3's Chad Simmons. "I have had some real conversations with Florida, and those coaches want to see me develop. Feeling that from them is amazing."
He added: "Coach (Billy) Napier is taking Florida to a championship. It's crazy that I can even be a part of something that he's building."
McCoy tallied 120 tackles and 15 sacks across three seasons at Tupelo High School, per MaxPreps.com.
He's now Florida's top-ranked commit this cycle. McCoy joins a 2026 Gators class that includes four-star quarterback Will Griffin, running back Carsyn Baker, and safety Kaiden Hall, among others.
Four-star wide receiver Marquez Daniel also committed to Florida on Saturday.
