Colorado announced Thursday it's hired Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk as the program's new running backs coach.

Faulk joins head coach Deion Sanders and defensive senior quality control analyst Warren Sapp as Pro Football Hall of Fame members on the Buffaloes' coaching staff.

The 51-year-old Faulk garnered plenty of accolades during his pro career. He was a six-time All-Pro, a three-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year, and NFL MVP in 2000.

Faulk worked as an analyst at NFL Network alongside Sanders following his retirement in 2005.

Faulk doesn't have any coaching experience at the collegiate level. He'll be tasked with helping improve a Colorado rushing attack that finished last in the Big 12 with 65.1 rushing yards per game last season and averaged 2.4 yards per attempt.
