Oregon's Evan Stewart returning for senior season
Wide receiver Evan Stewart announced Tuesday that he'll return to Oregon for his senior season, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.
Stewart logged 48 receptions, 613 yards, and five touchdowns while averaging 12.8 yards per reception during his junior year with the Ducks in 2024. The Memphis native missed Oregon's Rose Bowl matchup against Ohio State due to a back injury he sustained in practice following the Big Ten Championship Game.
The 6-foot, 175-pound wideout provided an immediate impact to an explosive Oregon offense after transferring from Texas A&M last offseason. Stewart recorded 91 catches for 1,163 yards to go along with six touchdowns across two seasons with the Aggies.
Stewart's return will provide the Ducks with plenty of firepower as they attempt to defend their Big Ten title next season. Stewart, transfer wide receiver Malik Benson, and promising freshman Dakorien Moore could help replace the production of Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden in 2025.
