Notre Dame head coach Micah Shrewsberry was incensed by the lack of home support at the Joyce Center for the Fighting Irish's 75-60 loss to Louisville on Sunday night.
Shrewsberry was disgusted that there were more fans representing Louisville than his Notre Dame squad, claiming it was "embarrassing" for him as the head coach of the program.
"Don't come back ... when we're winning. Because we're turning this around," he said.
The 48-year-old ended his rant by slapping away his microphone and storming off.
Things have veered off course in Shrewsberry's second year after a promising start to the season, with the Fighting Irish winning just once in their last five games. The recent skid includes losses to Miami, Florida State, and Virginia Tech, all of whom are outside KenPom's top 75.
It's not all doom and gloom for Notre Dame. The 2025 recruiting class is the best in program history, with three players ranked in ESPN's top 100.
The Fighting Irish are 11-14 (5-9 in conference play) and sit 13th in the ACC. They'll host ACC newcomer SMU on Wednesday.
