Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant will miss at least four weeks with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, the team announced Friday.
Morant sustained the injury in the second half of Thursday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Portland acquired Morant from the Grizzlies during the offseason.
The former No. 2 overall pick was off to a solid start, averaging 15.8 points on 54.2% shooting - including a 42.9% clip from deep.
Jrue Holiday or Scoot Henderson will likely slide into Morant's spot in the starting backcourt alongside Damian Lillard.
