Los Angeles Clippers guard Max Strus suffered a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his right foot during a preseason game Sunday and will be re-evaluated in four weeks, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Strus sustained the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors. He started hobbling after receiving a pass and exited the game.

The Clippers acquired Strus from the Cleveland Cavaliers in August as part of a five-team trade.
Strus is no stranger to foot injuries, playing just 12 games last season for the Cavs after undergoing surgery to repair a broken left foot in August 2025. When he returned, the veteran averaged 11.2 points per game while shooting 40.2% from deep. Strus also averaged 9.6 points per contest during Cleveland's postseason run.
The 30-year-old began his career as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He's also played for the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Cavaliers, and Clippers.
