The NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and NHL's Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday unveiled the first renderings of their proposed new arena on the former grounds of the Spectrum, which hosted both franchises from 1967-96.

The venue is scheduled to be completed in 2030 and will be privately funded.
The new arena will also serve as the home of Philadelphia's WNBA team.
"Philly fans deserve the best arena in the world, and we are excited to partner with Comcast to deliver just that. This privately funded arena will be the home to moments and memories that define this city for generations," 76ers managing partner Josh Harris said in a statement.
The 76ers and Flyers have played their home games at Xfinity Mobile Arena for the past three decades. The venue is expected to be demolished once the new arena is complete.
Comcast owns the naming rights for the future home of the 76ers and Flyers, with the name set to be revealed at a later date.
