Draymond Green isn't fully on board with Kevin Durant's recent claim that LeBron James joining the Philadelphia 76ers makes them a better squad than the Golden State Warriors team Durant joined in 2016.
"I don't know that I can agree with that," Green said on an episode of his podcast released Tuesday. "I don't really think it works, but that's KD's opinion."
Durant offered the controversial view in an Instagram comment Monday, replying to a user who argued that the talent level on Durant's Warriors was much stronger than today's 76ers squad. Durant rebuffed that assertion and, after comparing players on both clubs, said he didn't understand "how the Warriors team is better on paper."
Green wasn't the only former Warrior to chime in Tuesday. Dallas Mavericks vet Klay Thompson appeared to call out Durant, taking issue with the Houston Rockets star saying that Thompson was "never an MVP candidate in nothing" in his argument.

On Saturday, Durant praised James' unexpected decision to join Philadelphia as "great for the league." The 37-year-old added that he believes the 76ers are "League Pass-worthy" and a contender to lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy next summer.
