LeBron James teased an upcoming decision on his next team during his first public appearance since announcing his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers.
"I won't hold you guys up too much longer," James said Thursday at the CNBC and Boardroom Game Plan Summit, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
James has been linked to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Denver Nuggets during this free-agency cycle.
His agent, Rich Paul, previously said that 27 teams had spoken to him about adding James.
James' suitors have used various methods to make their pitch for the NBA's all-time leading scorer.
76ers executive Bob Myers recently joined the "Game Over with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul" podcast to sell James on Philadelphia. Interested clubs have also reportedly sent voice notes to Paul in an attempt to recruit the four-time Finals MVP.
Multiple players have gotten involved too. Warriors forward Draymond Green revealed on his podcast that he tried to sway James during a recent golf trip in Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, the 76ers' core of Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Jaylen Brown has apparently been in communication with James as well.
Wherever he eventually winds up, James promises to give fans something to talk about.
"So, wherever I land in the fall - hopefully you're ride-or-die LeBron fans if you've been down with me since Day 1 - I hope you ride with me there," James said. "If you're a ride-or-die LeBron hater, that's what you do anyway. So, I'm looking forward to seeing you as well.
"But it's going to be pretty fun. It's going to be pretty fun. Wherever I land, I'm going to do what I do best."
