The Detroit Pistons signed head coach JB Bickerstaff to an extension, the team announced Monday.
The terms of his contract were not disclosed.
Bickerstaff guided the Pistons to their first 60-win campaign in 20 years as well as the East's top seed.
The Colorado native is one of three finalists for this season's NBA Coach of the Year award alongside Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics and Mitch Johnson of the San Antonio Spurs.
Detroit hired Bickerstaff in July 2024 following a four-year stint in charge of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He's gone 104-60 over a pair of seasons in the Motor City.
The Pistons will face the Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA playoffs after overcoming a 3-1 series deficit against the Orlando Magic.
