New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown confirmed that Jalen Brunson "turned his right ankle" in the latter stages of Wednesday's 124-107 defeat to the Orlando Magic, per SNY TV.

Brunson suffered the injury on a drive to the basket with just under two minutes remaining.

The All-Star guard intentionally committed a foul after shooting his free throws and went straight to the Knicks' locker room.

Brunson was seen leaving Madison Square Garden on crutches and in a protective boot, according to SNY's Ian Begley.

The 29-year-old was off to a strong start to the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 27.7 points, 6.6 assists, and 3.6 boards entering Wednesday's contest.

Miles McBride will likely fill in for Brunson at the point should the latter miss some time.
