Bulls signing Giddey to 4-year, $100M extension

The Chicago Bulls have reached an agreement to re-sign restricted free-agent guard Josh Giddey to a four-year, $100-million deal, his agent told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The extension is fully guaranteed and contains no player or team options. Giddey could've chosen a one-year, $11.14-million qualifying offer that would've made him an unrestricted free agent next offseason, but he opted to commit to the Bulls for the foreseeable future instead.

Giddey, 22, stood out during his first season in Chicago in 2024-25, averaging 14.6 points per game and career highs in rebounds (8.1) and assists (7.2). He notably turned heads after the All-Star break, scoring 21.2 points per game while shooting 46% from deep.

Chicago acquired him in a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder last June in exchange for Alex Caruso. Giddey is a cornerstone of the Bulls' future along with Coby White and Matas Buzelis, among others.

The Bulls haven't reached the postseason since 2021-22, and their last playoff series win dates back to the 2014-15 season.
