Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic is ready to meet his new boss.

The Slovenian posted a message on social media in support of the Lakers after it was reported that the Buss family intends to sell their majority stake in the organization to billionaire Mark Walter.

Walter is the chairman and majority owner of the MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers.

Doncic expressed his excitement to meet Walter and about the Lakers' future.

Doncic also thanked Jeanie Buss in the post, adding that he's happy she will continue to be involved with the team.

Doncic was given a short heads-up about the purchase agreement, according to ESPN's Shams Charania and Ramona Shelburne.

The five-time All-Star joined the Lakers following a blockbuster deal that included Anthony Davis being shipped to the Dallas Mavericks at February's trade deadline.

L.A. went 19-13 after the move and was eliminated in the opening round of the playoffs. Doncic averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in 28 regular-season games with the club.

Former Lakers star and executive Magic Johnson, who has worked with Walter with the Dodgers, also publicly endorsed the new owner on X.
