LeBron: Playing 1st game with Bronny didn't feel real

LeBron James and his son Bronny became the first father-son duo to play in the same game in NBA history during the Los Angeles Lakers' 118-114 preseason loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

After the game, James admitted the moment didn't feel real, per Spectrum's Mark Medina.

"Still trying to get a little bit used to it. It's been cool. It's been cool for both of us, especially for our family," LeBron said. "It's definitely a moment that I will never forget."

The pair checked into the game together at the end of the second quarter and immediately started a full-court press.

As LeBron heads into Year 22, he acknowledged this was a unique experience. "This is totally different, but it's definitely something that is not being taken for granted."

Bronny, who was celebrating his 20th birthday, played 13 minutes, grabbing two rebounds and going 0-of-1 from the field. LeBron stuffed the stat sheet in his 16 minutes, totaling 19 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

"JJ (Redick) told us we were going to be playing together earlier in the day ... so I was pretty psyched for that," Bronny said.

A father-son duo has played together in Major League Baseball (Ken and Ken Griffey Jr. on the Seattle Mariners) and the National Hockey League (Gordie Howe with Mark and Marty on the Hartford Whalers).

LeBron and Bronny will have an opportunity to become the first father-son pair to play together in a regular-season NBA game on Oct. 22 when the Lakers host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
