Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey signed a new five-year, $204-million contract, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Maxey's contract is fully guaranteed and has no options, Wojnarowski reports.

The newly crowned Most Improved Player averaged 25.9 points, 6.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and a steal in 70 games this past campaign. He was also named an All-Star for the first time.

Philadelphia made the playoffs despite former MVP Joel Embiid missing 43 games. The Sixers were eliminated in six games by the New York Knicks in the opening round. Maxey shined, averaging 29.8 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.2 rebounds.

The Kentucky product was drafted 21st overall in 2020.

Maxey will team up with Embiid and newly acquired forward Paul George to form the Eastern Conference's newest Big Three.
