Report: Isaac agrees to 5-year, $84M extension with Magic

Forward Jonathan Isaac agreed to a five-year, $84-million contract extension and renegotiation with the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The defensive ace has spent all seven of his professional seasons with Orlando since being drafted sixth overall in 2017. The 26-year-old missed two campaigns due to a left ACL injury he suffered in 2020.

Isaac played in 58 games last season, the most since his sophomore campaign. He averaged 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per contest.

Isaac's 7.1% block rate last season was the third highest in the league, trailing only Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama.

The Magic have been busy this offseason. They've brought back Moe Wagner on a two-year, $22-million deal, kept guard Garry Harris on a two-year, $14-million contract, retained center Goga Bitadze on a three-year, $25-million deal, and signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to a three-year, $66-million pact.

Orlando was also reportedly considered a contender in the Paul George sweepstakes before the nine-time All-Star joined the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Magic returned to the postseason in the 2023-24 campaign for the first time since 2020. Orlando lost in the opening round of the playoffs to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
