Kings sign veteran guard Matthew Dellavedova

The Sacramento Kings have signed veteran guard Matthew Dellavedova, the team announced Friday.

Dellavedova spent last season playing for the National Basketball League's Melbourne United, where he helped lead the team to the NBL Finals. He was also named to the All-NBL second team, averaging 10.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.0 rebounds in 27 games.

The 31-year-old has played in 447 games over nine seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks, helping the Cavs win their first title in franchise history in 2016.

Kings head coach Mike Brown coached Dellavedova during his first campaign in the league in 2013.

In the offseason, the Kings drafted Keegan Murray fourth overall and added guards Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter to complement their pre-existing core of De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

Sacramento has not made the playoffs since 2006, which marks the current longest playoff drought in the league.
